Helps support an optimal environment for wound healing for:

Minor accidental and post-procedural skin wounds .
Superficial burns and abrasions.
Scrapes and rubs.
Environmentally stressed skin, including skin exposed to wet and muddy conditions.

Polysilicic acid (patented amorphous silica technology).

Clean the wound or affected area with water or saline solution and dry thoroughly.
Apply 1–2 times daily.
Can be used with or without a bandage.
Do not use in combination with other topical products.

For animal use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucus membranes. Keep out of reach of children and animals. Wash hands after using.

Store in a cool dry place protected from the sun.

We had a case presented with a 10cm mass which we removed through an elliptical incision. Because of the size and infection involved, we chose to allow the area to heal by second intention.

We packed the void using Zarasyl Companion until the time it could be closed surgically.

The wound closed entirely within 3 weeks with minimal scarring. I have treated similar surgical wounds and feel that Zarasyl Companion greatly increased the rate of healing and decreased scarring.

For many years we have been trying to find a sympathetic, effective and adherent barrier cream for protecting open wound sites and areas of other skin damage. Most previous products have been either too 'clogging' or too 'runny' to stay where they are put. Adhesion onto the site is a really important property for this type of application.

Zarasyl seems to have all the right properties being adherent, sympathetic and protective of wound surfaces and exposed inflamed skin. I like the way it adheres to the application site and is pain free in use. I use it often and it seems to have the right balance for maintaining moist wound healing without irritation or side effect.
